40” VERTICAL IN 5 MONTHS

It has improved my vertical 5 inches in 5 months, it’s also taught me how pros properly warm up and cool down so I can play as I get older. I love how much Jade cares about the people he works with, both in and out of the gym. Jade modified my program to my body and abilities so I can make it where I want to be in my volleyball career. It is a program I plan to continue using throughout my career. Thank you so much Jade for all the work you have put in with me!

The system is designed so that you can train year round as your season progresses. Depending on the season, you’ll be training the qualities needed to get gains, and maintain performance throughout the season. Off-season (5 months), pre-season (2 months), and in-season (5 months), are meant to be done one after the other, but still works even if you’re in the middle of either of them! Each of them build off of each other, and can be progressed according to the athlete’s experience and needs. The off-season focuses on developing explosiveness and technique. Pre-season builds off this and prepares you for court movements with volleyball specific conditioning. In-season maintains the previous and can even improve performance if following our carefully designed training program. After the season finishes, we take a 1-2 week break for post-season and get back at it with the off-season.

the system

BFV is based off 3 main levels, leading to its main goal of reaching your full potential.

  • The 1st Level of the system focuses on building the key foundational aspects of performance. We work to improve our human and explosive strength, technique and mobility. Learning to use your body better in the Spiking Sequence, jumping higher and hitting harder, getting across the court - these are what BFV can do. We train year round to develop and maintain qualities that you need throughout your season. While this training gets us explosive, hitting and moving better, if it’s done alone, you won’t make it to Level 2. It’s intentionally paired with the Mastery Habits Guide, to improve areas of your life that may seem unimportant, but have a profound impact on your performance and life. We teach you the key aspects of a healthy life, like communication, time and stress management, balance and more. All of these affect our performance. As a student-athlete, or anyone else struggling with this, these are game changing for your volleyball development and overall lifestyle.

  • When we combine the two components to Level 1, we can finally reach the next level. This is where all the hard work building the foundation starts to pay off. Sometimes when athletes start implementing a new strategy, they want gains fast. But it doesn’t always happen like that. There’s a period in which you may not see gains at all, but each time you go to the gym and crush your workout and skills training, and do your habits and lifestyle skills that you develop in the first level… you’re watering the seeds you planted. This turns into improved lifestyle, where you’re able to better manage time, stress, sleep and recover better, have healthier relationships and more. Since we’ve also been grinding in the gym, the gains are now even more pronounced because of the full season training AND you’re doing what your body needs to build thanks to the Mastery Habits.

  • When we sustain both an enhanced lifestyle and enhanced performance. We can finally reach our full potential. We’ve done everything we can to make sure we give our minds and bodies what it needs to become our best selves, live a happier life and become Built for Volleyball.

on and off the court

Be the best you can be,

No season? No problem

Just like the full season program, this is a 12 month progressive program for athletes that don’t have a season from not being on a team. Since you’re not playing as much, we can build each phase and get crazy explosive hits and verts. You’ll still be doing the hitting and approach drills like in the other programs, but you can handle some different loads. Then, if you happen to join a team because you’re so much better, hop in to one of the programs above.

included in bfv: mastery habits guide

The official Mastery Habits Guide designed to help athletes improve their lifestyle skills alongside their court and training skills.

In this guide, we learn the skills needed for mastery in anything.

Having experience as a student-athlete, I understand the struggles and importance of improving
and maintaining good habits.
When we focus on improving these areas of our life, it seeps into other areas like volleyball.

Not only do we get volleyball gains, but we also learn to live a better, balanced, happier life.

TESTIMONIALS

What others have said about our training.

faq

  • Abolsutely! I teach you what I call the “Spiking Sequence” going in depth on how to do it well and apply it in the training program. We have drills in here that work on the Spiking Sequence, accuracy, timing and more!

  • Yes! When you sign up for the monthly subscription or the Lifetime account, you get access to all 4 programs.

  • It is recommended you have at least 1-2 years experiece in the weight room and over 14 years of age. I have progressions for a lot of the exercises to appropriately match the level of the athlete and get them gains. Highschoolers to professional levels can benefit from the training in here!

  • Wherever you are in your season. I recommend you start that specific program. Then once it’s finished, you’d do a “jump” to the next program! So if you’re in the middle of your season, start the in-season program and continue it for the remainder of the season. Then once it’s done, after about 1 week active recovery, start the off-season program! Now your season should be in sync with the system.

  • We do a lot of skill work on the court to apply our spike approach and spiking sequence over the net. While it is recommended to have a net, it’s not necessary. You won’t be able to do some of the drills that are hitting over a net, but you can still do alternative drills to help improve your timing and coordination for your spike and approach! The in-season program does not require a net.

  • Access to a standard weight room with a barbell, dumbbells, cable machine, medicine balls (big and small), resistance bands etc are recommended. Also recommended is a volleyball and net, space to run, and a partner for some of the drills! If you don’t have some of the standard equipment, I do give alternatives to a lot of the exercises using different/no equipment! For off, pre, and no-season, volleyball court access is recommended!

  • It’s ideal to have a setter or someone to toss you sets for most of the hitting drills in the later phases of the off/no season. If you dont, you can always spike off your toss! Other we have some stability drills and agility drills that are ideal with a partner.

  • When you first purchase the program, everyone has access to Phase 1 of each program. Each phase from each program is released monthly and to be completed in progressive stages. This method stops athletes from skipping past phases. As you stay on the program, more phases will be released, and when you switch programs, it’s recommended to always start at Phase 1 and work your way through the phases consecutively. Once all are released, you will have access to them indefinitely.

  • It is advised that all athletes/clients consult with their physician or physical therapist for guidance on medically related inquiries. Athletes must be cleared for high-intensity Plyometrics & Resistance Training and overhead explosive movements (ie. spiking) prior to beginning any online training.

BFV team training
